my ip addres is broken and if i repair it it dosen't work what should i do if i what to fix it
if mauly give me the steps

Hmmm.... ok, if your ip address starts with 169. Follow my step:
1. click start>run>type in cmd>enter.
2. from the black box, type in ipconfig/flushdns or ipconfig /flushdns for vista and then press enter key.
3. And then, type in ipconfig/release or ipconfig /release and press the enter key.
4. Lastly type in ipconfig/renew or ipconfig /renew and press the enter key again.
5. Wait for it to be connected, if you see a different ip address it is fixed if not, turn off your modem or unplug the modem's power cord, (the modem is a black box or a gray box that is connected to your computer or CPU with many lights on it)wait for a few minutes and power it up again. If that did not work, add an additional question or tell what happen so that I can give you the other step. FIXING AN IP ADDRESS IS DIFFICULT IF YOU DONT KNOW THE ERROR OR WHAT HAPPENED AFTER THIS STEP. Gudluck.

ok, follow this step again:
1. click start>run>type in cmd>enter.
2. from the black box, type in netsh winsock reset.
3. Restart your computer.

That depends on what the IP address is. A good first thing to try is to turn everything off, unplug the modem, router. Then turn everything back on.
Call your service provider, definatly, if that doesnt fix it.

If you need help finding your public IP address there are sites like http://ipswift.com/ that give you a lot of information

1. coba release IP-nya, di command prompt ketik ipconfig/release.
2. kalo udah coba renew IP-nya, sekali lagi di command prompt ketik ipconfig/renew.
3. Kemungkinan DHCP servernya mati, udah coba pake IP statik? masukin IP sendiri lewat Control Panel --> Network Connections --> Local Area Connection klik kanan --> Properties --> Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) --> Properties --> masukin IP-nya yang sama dengan yang sebelumnya dapet dari DHCP server.
4. Klo masih ga bisa juga, kontak administrator yang bertanggungjawab di jaringan tersebut.
