does anyone know about "Killing Me Softly"? (cultural context )?

Ok This is my definition as a singer and as academic.

It's about a young person who is able to envisage the thoughts and feelings of someone else in the words he writes and sings. The someone else is an older person whose loves and ambitions have not been achieved or met. So the song tells us of the longing of the older person being drawn to the younger who has this marvelous gift of foresight or hindsight, hence the song is tinged with regret and sorrow.

Sung as a straight forward ballad, without any of the modern hype and beat treatment, it is a very beautiful and almost religious song.
