Whose Al-Quran recitation for memorizing or learning?

http://www.versebyversequran.com/site/download

http://quranicaudio.com/

Assalamualaikum

From those websites, one can download AlQuran MP3, per Ayah, Quran page or Surah.

Whose recitation would you suggest for

a. teaching/learning recitation (to be heard and then be repeated/imitated)

b. memorizing (hafizh)

What should be the consideration in choosing which Qari (reciter) for each of the purpose?

Jazakumullah

I love Salah Al-Hashim. I'm using his recitation for memorizing. He's not too slow and not too fast, and his recitation is very clear to my ears. I love the way he recites the surahs, and I always cry when I hear his recitation of Surah Ar-Rahman. He's very good, maashaa Allaah.

But, it depends on your style of learning and memorizing. You should just hear some of the Qary and see which one you like the best.

Fares Abbad is pretty good, but he's very fast for me, maashaa Allaah. Saad Al-Ghamdi, some of his recitations are good for me, but mostly he's very fast. I also like Zeyad Ahmad Al-Hajj.

    Best Quran Reciter For Memorization

Everyone will have their own likings and preferences, there is no right or wrong answer. Some people would prefer the normal-styled Murattel recitations (e.g. al-Ghamdi, al-Sudais, al-Shuraim), and others would prefer the slower and measured Mujawwad ones (e.g. al-Basit, al-Husari, al-Minshawi). I for one, listen to a variety of a different reciters. When I first started listening to recitations, I started off with the normal favourites like Sa'ad al-Ghamidy and Mishary al-Afasy. It was melodic, and I felt that reading the Qur'an while listening to these reciters really brought comfort to me, spiritually. Many years have passed since then, and I've matured my taste and start to appreciate other types of reciters. Currently, I'm attached to Siddiq al-Minshawi's voice: truly, they are the major Egyptian reciters of the old are the masters of this art. Their pronunciation, speed, and tune; it's all perfectly coordinated.

That being said, listening to recitations should only be used as a personal revision for what you've memorized for the Qur'an. At the fundamental level, you still require a teacher (mu'allim/ah) to preside over what you've learnt and make sure what (and how) you've memorized is correct.

    I'd recommend those :

    Mishari Rashid al-`Afasy

    Mahmoud Khalil Al-Husary

they have the most angelic of voices, and I always loved to hear their recitations, I don't know if there are any exact considerations, but I listen to them all the time, and when I used to recite and memorize I used their recordings!!

    Hope that would help :D

I dont think it matters whose for memorizing or reciting, you will have your own voice style anyways..

but for learning, I like to use a written book, the ones in english by Yusuf Ali, cause they have extensive footnotes that spell out the meanings in english in laymens terms where anyone can get meanings from
