Doctor Who, anyone? Help me, please!?
Hey, i just recently watched Doctor Who. I am from Asia.
I have difficulty to recognize what exactly "The Doctor" mean in Doctor Who.
Is that mean "The Doctor" for medical doctor, or just some doctorate degrees?
Please, help me! I am confused, i am!

we only know that he calls himself The Doctor- he is supposed to be a Man of Mystery

It's just a title, you don't really have to know what it means, it doesn't affect the story at all
But its not to show medical links, and he hasn't done a doctorate, its just what people call him, as he helps people

I am a fan of the show. He is a doctor for an unknown reason, another mystery of the show. Might be because he graduated and got a PHD in time travel? :/

It's not an actual qualification, it's a name he chose himself because it's in his nature to help. We have never in the 50 years it's been running found out what his name actually is. We probably never will.
