Which these piano interpretation are the best?
Now I'm currently learning Beethoven piano sonata no.23 op.57 'Appassionata' as my preparation for piano concert 3 months again.
In my opinion, Glenn Gould, Vladimir Horowitz, and Arthur Rubinstein play this song perfectly both of technique and interpretation.
But they have very different style on Appassionata sonata.
Which pianist style should I follow to play this song?
For ex: 3rd movement Appassionata
Rubinstein= http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HKODIuBMF44
Horowitz= http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pb-K_uyXjE4&feature...
Gould= http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SgLl5g00TgA
Thanks.

I would strongly advise on listening to these other Masters prior to making any ''decision'' on matters of interpretation:
- Rudolf Serkin: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a_VQNDB-PeY
- Sviatoslav Richter: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yqewExfrxiM
- Alfred Brendel: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=89hcfgNqXsw
- *Emil Gilels: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QIrHYoRrsho *
Listening to all these artists, in addition the other three you mention (Horowitz: check; Rubinstein: check; Gould: ummm - dubious/idiosyncratic articulation and overall ''style'') will no doubt help YOU playing that piece in your OWN personal way.
Best,
Raymond

Raymond has given a very good answer. In addition, you may like to listen to Paul Lewis and Wilhelm Kempff's interpretations. Gilels and Richter's interpretations are among the best. Glenn Gould is a little eccentric in interpretation.

Personally, I regard Andras Schiff's piano interpretations as the best. I don't really like Glenn's interpretations as I find them to be exaggerated.
